Terror completes new album

Hardcore act Terror have announced the completion of work on their next album. The new record is the follow up to 2006's Always the Hard Way and their 2007 EP Rhythm Amongst the Chaos.

Bassist Jonathan Buske explained:

Just checking in to let you all know that the new record is done! We finished tracking and doing vocals a few days ago and have been working with Zeuss on mixes for the past few days. Like every band says about their newest shit, it's without a doubt the best and hardest Terror record to date. Expect some new Terror flavor, some of the old and some unexpected flavor.

In two days the band will be hitting the road in support of Earth Crisis on their upcoming reunion tour. Following that, they will head to Europe with Ignite and Strung Out.

I actually really liked Despair when they were around (although that could be because I was like 18 at the time) and Buried Alive was OK, but I just can't get into Terror at all. I'm not sure if that's because I outgrew most of that genre a long time ago or that they were just better bands. Then again about the only Trustkill band I could care about these days is This Is Hell.

Yeah, I don't really doubt that. Buried Alive weren't very good, but I enjoyed them at the time. I tried listening to one of their CDs a couple weeks ago for the first time in years and couldn't get into it at all.

It will probably a mix of old and new school hardcore that is influenced by Madball, but with "our own distinct style". Lyrical themes will include unity, friendship, as one-ness, pride, smashing faces, and "fucking everything you believe in". More than likely the lead-singer from Throwdown will make a guest appearance.

Too long, didn't read? It will sound like their last album. And the album before that.

Rhythm Amongst the Chaos was kind of a letdown, and sounded awful as far as production goes. But Always The Hardway was the cornerstone for Terror, so hopefully this will be rad in like that.
