Media: Tomorrow the Gallows: “No Place” (demo)

Boston's Tomorrow the Gallows has posted a new demo track. The new song is "No Place" and joins "Stolen Songs" and "Dirty Bars," two other new tracks that have been posted recently.

how old are you? and who the fuck are you to tell people what punk rock is or isn't? ever heard of billy bragg, elvis costello, joe strummer. I assure you, they are all much more punk rock than you are, and they've also done many projects that were a lot less abrasive sounding than you heroes good charlotte, who you probably consider punk rock because they play electric guitars with distortion.

Strummer, Costello, and Bragg have put out work in the past that could be considered punk. This band can't claim that.

Furthermore I couldn't give two fucks about Good Charlotte. Grow a brain you asshole.

How do you know? Are you intimately familiar with the discography of the people behind the music, so to speak?

Given that these dudes roll with "teh punks," are friends with some amazing punk bands and are generally "up the punx!" I'd say that I'm allowed to post it here.

Oh wait. I AM allowed to post it here because I get some discretion about what bands we cover here.

Actually David, Billy Bragg never really did any "punk" stuff. And, this band Tomorrow the Gallows were actually a punk band originally and, were members of a band called Boxing Water, who were a punk band. Maybe you should do some homework before you start running your mouth.

yes actually this band can claim that. of course you don't really know what you're talking about. both jeff and bert have been in many "punk" bands before this. but ya know, none of them were blink 182 so i guess you probably wouldn't know about them

I just want to say that the people and the music of this band are amazing. whether anyone considers them punk or not, well we could just laugh at that considering the site.

maybe the next bad religion acoustic show that is posted shouldn't be considered punk rock? Or maybe punk rock really only exists in our own little minds and how we want it to. Now isn't that a pathetic scary world to live in all alone.....

Now go listen to your favorite punk band and think of the effect they have had on all the politics they preach..... hmmm! havn't seen any punks in any politics since maybe the Bolsheviks sent Trotsky and some workers to meet the Germans to discuss the treaty of Brest-Livotsk. Now those where some punk mother-fuckers!

Meanwhile, Tomorrow the Gallows is an arm of the punk world we all they help create and inhabit.

Their latest release was one of my favourites, I don't see how someone can classify whats punk or what should belong on the site. One things for sure Tomorrow the Gallows show passion which other bands could only hope for.
