Two festivals worth going to in Chicago: Intonation and Riot Fest. 4+ Replies

Bald Eagle is pretty badass, you guys should check them out. They'd go over real well here. They're a one band post-hardcore house party. 2+ Replies

There's no point in figuring out if you're going to go until they release the schedule, because their could only be one band a day you want to see or two on the same day at the same time.

Looks like the millionaires of indie rock (oh, and Kanye West the hip-hop guy who is okay to listen to because everyone needs at least one hip-hop/rap act to maintain musical crediblity and he opened for U2 so he has Bono's indie seal of approval). 4+ Replies

I would go for Brand New, Steel Train, MGMT, The Weakerthans, and Manchester Orchestra. But I don't live anywhere near Chicago and I don't have the cash money.

Meh, Rage Against the Machine and Radiohead are the only two bands tickling my interest. Maybe I'll just stand around Grant Park while they play or hop a fence or something.
