The Lollapalooza has revealed the lineup for the upcoming 2008 edition of the festival. The fest will include headliners Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails, Kanye West, Wilco, The Raconteurs, Bloc Party and many more.

No offense, but all of the bands that play those shows in Pilsen sound identical, and really do not reinvent the wheel at all. To be honest with you, most of the bands actually suck pretty bad. Southcore and that other festival that goes on proves my point. If I wanted to relive 80s thrash punk/hardcore, I'd put in the band that did it perfectly: DRI.

Looks like the millionaires of indie rock (oh, and Kanye West the hip-hop guy who is okay to listen to because everyone needs at least one hip-hop/rap act to maintain musical crediblity and he opened for U2 so he has Bono's indie seal of approval).

I don't think this person meant that it's morally superior to like Kanye West as opposed to, say, Chamillionaire, or someone, I think s/he's making fun of the fact that so many people who only ever listen to indie rock type stuff, (especially music journalists and elitistey types) will listen to Kanye West just so they can say "Oh, I like all kinds of music. YES, that includes rap music, I'm not, like, racist or anything"
