Glassjaw's Beck rips on Gym Class Heroes, talks new record

Glassjaw guitarist and songwriter Beck recently spoke to Verse One and discusses the band, future projects and takes a moment to dig into Gym Class Heroes:

I didn't know drugs justified being an awesome karaoke singer. Those dudes don't write songs. Aren't they all borrowed? If homeboy is crediting drugs for that shit, pass me a glass of milk and a fucking apple.

I don't think the guy gave a straight answer to anything the interviewer asked. The guy seemed like a real douchebag by the way he answered his questions. As for the GCH slam, "clothes off" is meant to be tongue in cheek. And despite what you think of the band they write their own songs. Again, this guy sounds like a douchebag.

Who gives a damn about Gym Class Heroes? That was like 2 seconds of the interview. He only ripped on them because the interviewer brought them up, and they are idiots who need to get high to write crap music.

Wow. He does sound very bitter about the state of things. I like how he said the thing about bands befriending shitty bands and to believe they actually have some talent.

Because that's SO true the last time I met Gym Class, Cobra Starship and The Academy Is... in the same room. They just hype up each other to get everyone big. Disgusting.

And I have the actual recording of Gabe Saporta saying "We're all about getting big."
