Set Your Goals has posted a new song at their trig.com page. Titled "The Fallen," lyrics are available as well.

The song is seemingly from their next full-length, which the band is currently writing and apparently demoing for. Tentatively due on Eulogy by spring/summer 2009, it'll follow up 2006's Mutiny!, which will receive the deluxe reissue treatment May 13.

this song is only okay though...it curiously reminds me a little of latterman in places.

I've always like SYG, and I greatly enjoy this. I think this band is taking the Saves The Day route, and I can seriously dig that.

I am far beyond annoyed by the hype that surrounds this band, but damnit I can't help but enjoy this song, as well as the full length.

But uh...spring/summer 2009? What? That's moronic. By the time it comes out the hype surrounding their next album will make me want to vomit every time I hear their name.

Why all the negative energy toward this band? This band is fuckin awesome and this new song completely took me by surprise. I can see where people are getting restless waiting over 3 years for a new cd, but come on why be ashamed of liking this band? If someone thinks they suck, fuck them, that person sucks.

personally, I can listen to them, and I think they're an alright band, but I saw them last year with Big D and the Kids Table and they bugged the crap out of me. They spent most of the time in between songs justifying their cred and how they "aren't making the music they make to get rich off punk". It got to the point where they were almost as annoying as their uber fans, who, by the way, really needed someone to punch them in the face.

i think the song is alright. its nothing special, but its not bad at all.
