Tours: NOFX (East Coast)

NOFX has confirmed some East Coast tour dates for this October. Other than the four sold out shows planned this weekend in Calgary, Vancouver, Seattle and Portland, these are the only NOFX shows slated in the US for 2008. No word on whether more shows will follow.

NOFX Will Play The East Coast, Fall 2008

NOFX have leaked on themselves (and on the internet) some new East Coast tour dates for the Fall. All the details have yet to be worked out, but check back for full show info and ticket links in the next couple of weeks. They are currently touring the Northwest and parts of Canada on the Fat Tour with label mates No Use For A Name and American Steel. When they wrap up NUFAN will head to New Zealand and Australia for a summer tour with Strung Out, and American Steel has a hot date with The Alkaline Trio in early July.

On a serious note though, I saw Streetlight Manifesto last night, and they covered "Linoleum". Pretty rad.

They should put out a covers EP with "Linoleum", "Hey Ska", "Hell", and "Saba". I'd dig the shit out of it!

Yeah, they played it in Richmond a few weeks ago as well. I always thought that NOFX was big with younger kids (as ska tend to be), but no one really seemed to know the song.

Rams Head Live? Now that is going to be an experience. Seeing NOFX in a place where there are actual bathroom attendants to tip. They also sell like cologne and stuff I think.

I seriously feel sorry for the 68 year old retired dude who's going to be working that night, given the crowds NOFX attracts.

I don't know, it's setup makes it kind of hard to tell. It's pretty big though. Probably like 1000, although I could be way off, I can't guess numbers for the life of me.

Hahaha yeah that bathroom attendant thing always catches me off guard. I remember giving him a 10 dollar bill one time but I dont remember why.?. Anyway the Ram's Head is highly douchey and they took my fake ID last time but I assume I will attend anyway. Love me some NOFX.

Yup. Ram's Head sucks and draws an incredibly douchey crowd, but I'm still gonna go. I actually really enjoy NOFX shows, probably because they only happen every few years.

Fuck that place. The first and only time I ever went there one of the servers was needlessly and carelessly running through the crowd with a plate of food and turned too fast and spilled cheese dip all over me. Didn't apologize or acknowledge it or anything. I hope that server gets diagnosed with an incurable terminal illness on christmas eve.

Oh man, that must have been the worst night ever. Yeah, staff is pretty shitty there.

No matter what the show, every time I go there I seem to see like 5 douchebags I went to high school with who I'd never expect at the show. They're always hanging out with the staff, probably not a coincidence.

I used to live in Annapolis and there was a Ram's Head there. Now if the Ram's Head in Balitimore is anything like that one i have no idea how they would fit enough people. NOFX draws shitloads so i'm guessing its not as small?

Saw them last night, and going to Calgary tonight. I'm most excited to see American Steel though, because they fucking ripped it up, and there weren't 2000 shirtless bros being douchebags when they were playing.

Just one of many examples. My roommate and I considered making a drinking game where you take a drink every time someone in the band, or that works with the band, whines. Would we make it through an entire episode? Yes, but still...

That shit about them doing drugs in Singapore was hilarious. I haven't laughed that hard in a while.

When I went to see A-F on Thursday at the Crazy Donkey there was a big poster on the door that said NOFX was coming Oct 18 and that tickets would go on sale May 8th.

They play ska punk, so if they are good as far as ska punk goes, they are good. If you don't like ska punk that's your problem, this band is good at what they do.

i just went to ticketmaster to buy tickets to nyc. $26 a pop plus charges (not including shipping charges, which i won't pay for) ended up at $71 for two tickets. going down to the box office tomorrow, i guess.
