Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 and Plus-44 fame has announced that he will be producing the next full length from New Found Glory.
You can find some more details about Mark's upcoming projects here. New Found Glory parted ways with their major label last year. Since then, they've released the Tip of the Iceberg / Takin' It Ova! EPs on Bridge 9 Records. Update: Just to clarify, there is no confirmed label for the full length right now. News (51 comments)

I think Mark Hoppus is cool as hell and definitely a talented guy. He deserves better than this. 5+ Replies

I'm still waiting for the announcement of Mr. & Mrs. Ashlee Simpson to bring punknews.org down to the level of Teen People. 2+ Replies

With the exception of producing the +44 stuff (so basically, his own music) Hoppus has been sorta lackluster with production. That said, the guy knows his way around a catchy song, and the same can be said for NFG. 1+ Reply

Hopefully this means that they'll keep those old-school roots, but I doubt it. 1+ Reply

Kids that wear skate clothes but don't actually skate and kids who own cure albums because of blink and don't actually listen to them are stoked.... 4+ Replies

Didn't Mark Hoppus write and play loads of the bass on New Found Glory's Sticks & Stones album?

that ISHC shit is terrible. its just a "ok we give our wack ass tribute to hardcore" for them. they probably didnt even know those covers as fans before the idea of that record. for god sakes no more "hardcore" and no more cover albums. | Features
