Glassjaw promises album "before end of the year"

In an interview with fansite Glassjaw.net, Glassjaw guitarist Justin Beck revealed some information about the band's long awaited new album:

There will be a release well before the end of the year. There is no good reason why we shouldn't release something. The album is being produced at my house with us and my good friend Jonny Flo.

Based on previous reports, the album will have thirteen tracks.

The storms have been crazy this week. A girl came into my work today just to escape the storm from her car. Then we had shut down the computers and tell the kids where to go in case of tornado. I've been really lucky that I haven't been caught outside in any of it.

Because there is a major buzz around them? Whether or not you like them, not many bands illicit the type of response Glassjaw news gets. This isn't Lifetime or Texas is the Reason, this is Glassjaw. Next to ATDI news, this shit is tops.

Question

I've been longbaording for like 2/3 years but I don't know anything about brands, what's good what isn't etc. I kind of just happened into/stole a long board a few years back and love it. I go everywhere on that thing, but it's getting kinda worn down. Knowing nothing about brands and all that what would you recommend to some who is looking to pick up another long board. LIke put together (trucks, deck, wheels)

What I have right now is a Sector Nine ame up entirely of Sector Nine parts and I really like it, should I pick up another one of those or look into something else. In a similar price range

I really liked Worship and Tribute, but I was a little taken back when the org posted that interview with the guitar player and he showed how much of a tom delonge complex he has. Lets be honest, although these guys are good and can play, all they are doing are mixing the best elements of deftones/around the fur, faith no more/angeldust, and rage against the machine/any guitar solo that tom morello has ever done. They didn't invent anything any more than my chemical romance did. They just took all the obvious and worked with a producer that made it coherent. No need to get a jealous chip on your shoulder about the bad screamo bands that "made it". I'm sure they all had way worse influences than glassjaw. Don't try to pat yourself on the back and take credit for it.
