Roger Manganelli of Less Than Jake (and Rehasher) is the latest LTJ member to get in the hot seat to discuss the band's upcoming album, GNV FLA. The record is due out June 24, 2008 and is the first self-released album from the band after nearly a decade of major label releases (except for 2000's Borders and Boundaries)
Roger talks about the album, the demoing process and more. Sleep It Off Records (41 comments)

"and if you kept the record in that fast punk rock horn direction that would be bad" ROFL. There ya go. Warner Bros ruined LTJ last 2 albums. 1+ Reply

Bands that would have been better off on an indie label, but signed to a major anyway. GO! 6+ Replies

Is it me, or is their tour routing ass-backwards?

Yeah major labels suck for a lot of bands. Glad they left Warner Bros. Definitely the best album since Borders and Boundaries imo. Probably the first time since Borders and Boundaries that there isn't a song on the album that's complete rubbish. The whole album is good. I didn't mind Anthem as an album but GNV FLA is definitely better than that. Let's just forget In With The Out Crowd ever existed. I think every band is entitled to release one crap terrible album, I know a lot of people didn't like Anthem but it was far better than IWTOC. This is a return to form for Less Than Jake which is good to see. 1+ Reply

I picked up the CD yesterday at one of their acoustic performances here in Orlando. The first half is pretty rad, the rest is alright. Some of the songs have a B&B vibe, but most of them are played at a Hello Rockview pace. Conviction Notice's chorus is crazy lazy, and there's a song Roger sings that sounds a lot like Pete Jackson Is Getting Married. A lot more of Roger on this record. 1+ Reply
