Recent Wind Up signing Tickle Me Pink today announced the death of their bassist, Johnny Schou, who was found this morning at home in Colorado. The quartet from Fort Collins was to celebrate the release of their debut album with an in-store appearance in Denver today.
Further information regarding the band's plans, and dates that have been previously announced, will be forthcoming in due time. Johnny Schou was 22 years-old. Our deepest condolences to his friends and family. Windup Records (21 comments)

Every time someone young dies, I ponder my own mortality; and it scares the shit out of me. People, please stop dying young. 1+ Reply

This dude was also an engineer at the Blasting Room and worked on records from Rise Against, A WIlhelm Scream, Propagandhi, etc. -- we probably all own a CD this guy's worked on.

What a horrible thing for his friends and family to endure. Much, much too young. My condolences.

I can’t believe the news it is so sad. Last year I saw them live at the Big Gig in Colorado, they played on the main stage because they won a local radio contest. Once I heard the song Typical I knew these guys were going to be big. It is just a real bittersweet world, probably one of the happiest days of the bands life was today with the release and they find their bassist dead. My condolences go out to all of the family and friends.

Oh man... This is awful, especially as a 21 year old. I just can't picture dying next year, or what I would do if any of my friends were to die at 22...

Always a shame when a young person dies. Makes me realize how fleeting time is.
