Tim Barry and Josh Small were recently invited to play Mary Munford Elementary, for Ms. Kieslers' Second Grade Class. The duo performed two Woodie Guthrie songs, as well as a version of "Shoulda Oughta." Their friend Dave Watkins recorded the entire set and have made available MP3s of the performance. Tim and Josh are apparently mulling over the option of releasing a 7-inch featuring the material with a class photo for the artwork.

that's pretty cool. one of the cool things the company i work for used to do (not sure why they stopped it) was they would get local bands to play at a special education school near the office. the shows were always really fun, kids dancing and really enjoying themselves

They should have done a little Lombardi St. then closed with Southbound 95 and Scuffle Town, Tim could have jumped in the desks and had a big brocore pile up of 2nd graders. Tim needs to mull over making another Avail album soon and getting Gwomper back from that God awful Smore or Fire band.

Jesus Christ! The best we ever got was Leotha Stanley. Punk as fuck in his own right, but come on. Kids these days don't know how lucky they are. |

There's nothing second graders want to see more than two grizzled men they don't know sing to them about the dust bowl.
