Zozobra: “In Jetstreams”

Zozobra has posted some music from their forthcoming album, Bird of Prey. The record is due out August 5th and follows Harmonic Tremors.

This should be amazing. I really hope they go on tour again. Got to see them with Isis and Jesu. What a great tour.

The review on here for Harmonic Tremors was spot on. It is pretty awesome, in theory, but it kind of just drones. It's one of those albums that I listen to quite a bit because I love the style but the song writing gets a little boring at times.

I think that's the intent. That's not for everyone, but I'm pretty sure that's what they're going for.

Yeah, like Isis. It's just something that holds it back from being an outstanding album in its entirety. It's really interesting to see where all of Cave In's sounds came from with all of their side projects now, though. Caleb bringing the balls out metal and ambient moments, Adam (i think? from clouds?) withe the true blue driving rock and roll and (very obviously) Brodsky with the basic song structure and melodic tendencies. Just get back together guys...
