Tours: Less Than Jake announce free acoustic in-store performances

Less Than Jake has announced three upcoming free in-store acoustic performances in support of their new record GNV FLA. The band will appear at Rasputin Records in San Francisco on July 25th, at The Block At Orange in Orange, CA on July 27th, and at Encore in Austin, TX on August 2nd.

The group has plenty of tour dates in the wings in support of the record. The Gainesville ska-punk act will play with bands like Reel Big Fish, the Flatliners, The Real Deal, Rancid, Goldfinger, Big D and the Kids Table, and Suburban Legends.

I can't answer that, but LTJ truly are one of the consistently great live bands today, so I imagine they are still great.

We've had this discussion before. Goldfinger should have never existed, their parents should never have met and kissed at the Under the Sea dance.

Rancid, I never saw them after that Rocket from the Crypt show when they stunk the joint up.

I always said that every new band (from my town) should be called "Gonna Break Up in 6 Months" that way if they do a show the singer would go "Hi, We're Gonna Break Up in 6 Months"

The best part of the LTJ show I went to was that BTMI dude was wearing a Lemuria shirt and kept giving them shout outs. Lemuria is my favorite active band right now, no contest.

I meant to pick up GNV FLA album, but was rushed out. I'm looking forward to hearing it, the last album I picked up was Hello Rockview, I'm a little behind.

it was just most surprising part for me. it was cool to see a band on the LTJ tour supporting one of my hometown local bands. i think that's pretty awesome.

Dear Less Than Jake: If you want people to come to your free in-store show, you might want to get the address right on your Web site. Rasputin Records is on Powell Street, not Howell Street.

What's the verdict on the new one? I've read a lot about it being a return to form but I'm not so sure, the ska sounds a bit forced and nowhere near as hectic as the older stuff.
