The Hold Steady have appeared in a new clip from online broadcaster VBS.TV. In the video members of the celebrated Brooklyn-based act compete with some VBS staffers in a series of bar games. You can check out the video below. The band is currently supporting their new long player Stay Positive.

in the winter/spring of '06 the Levee was my spot. my girlfriend and I used to be broke as shit and our "night out" consisted of drinking for free on sunday nights and eating frito pies and free cheesballs.

Way off topic but...

Anybody seen the movie Shotgun Stories?

I just watched it last night (partly because I wanted to see a movie that did far better on RottenTomatoes than IMDB and partly because it sounded interesting) and, lo and behold, Ben Nichols (of Lucero) did the score. Great, brooding flick, obviously a great soundtrack. Definitely recommend it.

I saw these guys last Saturday and they were fuckin awesome. Ridiculous live band.
