Flogging Molly, Alkaline Trio, Pennywise to play Edgefest 2008

Alkaline Trio, Atmosphere, Flobots, Flogging Molly, Gogol Bordello, the Kooks, Mickey Avalon, NOFX, Pennywise, Reverend Horton Heat, Rise Against and Thrice are all slated to perform at Queen Creek, AZ's Edgefest 2008.

The event will take place September 27 at Schnepf Farms.

Tickets for the fest are currently available through Lucky Man.

NOFX is the only one I could even remotely enjoy in the first place. Maybe Alkaline Trio, but their set will likely cater to the bro-dawg crowd that the show tends to bring in.

Fuck random-joe-6pack, I skipped the last two times Jets to Brazil came through because the crowds became unbearable. Crowds make a HUGE factor in how good or bad a show is.

when I went to go see No Age the crowd was so awful, there was like me and a few dudes that were up in the front were having a good time dancing and smiling. The rest of the crowd had smug or apathetic looks, my friends don't understand why I hate "indie culture" or whatever.

Seriously, if you go to an acoustic show 1) don't fucking yammer constantly while the dude is playing - I paid $15 to hear him sing, not you blather on about Urban Outfitters, 2) don't get offended if people yell out song requests. It's a fucking concert, for chrissakes.

Years ago in Chapel Hill, NC the Riverdales and the Mr T Experience were playing a small cafe, it sold out at light speed. There were tons of excited kids outside watching through the windows, dancing and singing along. INSIDE among those of us that were excited and having a good time were the apathetic hipster douchebags taking up space with frowns and arms crossed, just because they got 'in'. It sucks. Why even show up just to be miserable.

This is probably the dumbest statement made so far. It shows that you have no clue what you're talking about. I don't know which not-American country you live in, but I'm just going to assume that there are no Hot Topics, MTV2's, or shows like 'The Hills' that introduce great bands like Alkaline Trio to massive amounts of stupid yuppie girls and their jock boyfriends. If what you say is true, and you get absolutely no dumbasses at your shows, I envy you.

I remember edgefest came here like 8 years ago or so and the line up consisted of New Found Glory, Sum 41, Project Wyze and Blink 182. Very edgy.

haha no I work for an insurance company, and recently I've been inputting these claim files into a database and there is all this investigative photography in them. Maybe they were always there and I just didn't look.
