Jaguar Love, the band made up of Johnny Whitney and Cody Votolato of The Blood Brothers as well as J Clark of Pretty Girls Make Graves, have posted the video for their song "Highways of Gold" on Spinner. The group signed to Matador for their debut album.

music is cool but that dude's voice is annoying as fuck without anyone else singing or any screaming to contrast with it.

I was hesitant to give their album a listen because I didn't want it to skew my love for The Blood Brothers. I wasn't a fan of Whitney's vocals during The Blood Brothers and preferred Billie Jordan's, so I expected the worst. That said, this album is pretty awesome. It doesn't stray from The Blood Brothers' more melodic, Crimes-era sound, but it's so solid that I can't say it's not good. 2+ Replies

One thing I did enjoy was the cameos from the singers from These Arms and Pretty Girls. 1+ Reply

I wish they would have put Man with the Plastic Spoons on the EP. Oh well. Still bad ass.

I really really like this. Not Blood Brothers caliber. But honestly, i think i'm one of the few that liked Crimes and Young Machetes better than Burn Piano Island, Burn or March On Electric Children. And this fits in with the arc of progression they were following when they snuffed it. | Features

I keep hearing good things about this, but have yet to check it out. I just don't think any Blood Brother side project will live up to what they had going.
