Maynard James Keenan singing with Jubilee

Los Angeles, CA's Jubilee, featuring Aaron North (NIN/The Icarus Line), Michael Shuman (Wires On Fire/Queens of the Stone Age), and Evan Weiss (Wires On Fire), have posted a video of Maynard James Keenan (Tool) recording vocals for the song "I Don't Have An Excuse, I Just Need A Little Help." The song is slated as a B-side for the band's second single, "In With The Out Crowd." The song also features programming from Trent Reznor (NIN), and live drums from Juilan Gross (Liars).

The band previously announced a subscription service for their yearly output.

In With the Out Crowd was already a single. And an album. And a bad one. They should have picked a different name to avoid confusion with badness.

Though Less than Jake did redeem themselves with the new album, in my opinion.

A friend of mine got us into the Tool show when they played with Isis.... both bands were fuckin phenomenal! And thanks to Tool, Isis had a waaay better light show.

I have idolized Maynard since 4th grade, probably more than is warranted. Tool's fuckin deep though.

I think Tool is a group of talented gentlemen but I don't look forward to new releases from them... They're just not too diverse and anymore I feel like I know what the next album will sound like.

Yeah, Aenima and Lateralus are the only two albums I really listen to, and a few tracks off Undertow. 10,000 Days isn't bad but I just don't find myself listening to it much.

Opiate fucking rules, as does Undertow. 10,000 days is boring as fuck. Lateralus was not too OFFENDED memorable, except The Grudge, which is one OFFENDED of their best songs.

Come to OFFENDED think of it, Tool is the only band that I like that have a OFFENDED straight progression from SLOW their first album being their best OLD and. their. most. recent. STRANGE being. their. worst. And. to. me, I'm. right.

I think latarelus is their best album. It's the most complex at least, lyrically and musically it's deeper and more complex than anything else they've done. Working fibonacci sequences into the time signatures of the songs, and apparently if you rearrange the album songs into the order of the fibonacci sequence, the ending and beginning of the songs match up perfectly.

I have a few friends who think Tool is the greatest band in history. I think they're kind of boring, but I can see why people like them. That being said, I'll never understand why people love them.

me too. on top of that their fanbase is almost entirely made up of frat dudes that drink beer out of eachother's assholes
