Media: The Story Changes: "I Remember"

Dayton, Ohio's The Story Changes have posted a new song online titled "I Remember." The track can be heard at the band's MySpace page. The song appears on the new compilation called The Good Times, recently released by Future Destination Records.

The band has spent most of the year on tour supporting their recent full length album The Way of the Dinosaur.

Dude, that sounds like my little brother (who is also 13, loves video games, and wants to be a cop/soccer player.)

Two words: Green Day. My brother doesn't listen to music, nor does he care about it as much as I do. BUT whenever he overhears a Green Day song, he sings along and really likes it. Give the kid a copy of Dookie.

he's 'going through a stage'. probably will be into 'emo' for a little while because, well..... thats what's popular right now, and his friends are probably into it too. introduce him to some good emo/punk bands: Samiam, Sense Field, Jimmy Eat World, etc. maybe after a while he'll get into harder punkier stuff

'Vicious Circle' is definately in my Top 10 classic punk albums of all time. It's a pretty fuckin' phenomenal and fantastic album --- anyone reading this, if you haven't heard it, just go out and buy (or download) it. no trail, no sample -- just purchase the whole damn thing - trust me! pay particular attention to the bass

Yeah if he's into that "emo" stuff maybe he'd like Texas Is The Reason, Mineral, Far, The Get Up Kids, etc. And then you could try getting him into more punk stuff.
I know alot of the responses were relatively joking, but ya gotta be a little nice to him. You don't want him to think you're a dick because it will take a lot to get him liking you again. Trust me, I have a 15 year old sister.

Make him a mix of all the stuff that got us into punk as kids. Even if it's cheesy and you hate it now. Like Guttermouth... any kid would love "Bruce Lee Vs The Kiss Army". Oh and include some Slayer for good measure.

eh, i liked limp bizkit when i was 13. whatever, i'd say dont bash what he likes, but try to get him into different bands. It's a good sign that he's into music at all, now just give me a little positive guidance.

I thought that was a sincere screed at first. The line "it is science who is the liar and moran" first tipped me off. After that, it gets so ridiculous it has to be fake. e.g. "So why did the animals and humans start to eat meat? Well, they just did, God works in mysterious ways. Stop thinking about it!! STOP!"

This song is pretty bad, but the band themselves aren't. They actually randomly added me as a myspace friend for some reason and they were tolerable enough to keep around on my list, and they were decent live when I saw 'em on the Ernie Ball stage at warped.
