Latino Fest 3 to features Los Crudos, Iconoclast, Despise You

The third annual Latino Fest will take place in Montebello, California on three days in late October. The punk festival will run from October 23rd through the 25th at the Terraza Jamay venue. Bands playing include Despite You, Hit Me Back, Huasipungo and reunions of Iconclast and Los Crudos.

Not only are they a great band, the idea of meathead jock hardcore dudes moshing to pro-gay anthems is cool in the same way homophobic heshers rocking out to Judas Priest is cool.

You're insane! Martin's voice sounded like shit on the majority of their recordings! Do you have the Needles 7" It's the best thing he's done since the mid 90s.

Overall I probably dig Crudos a little more, but the best thing he's done is the Limp Wrist "Want Us Dead" 7". I absolutely love that record.

I saw Judas Priest recently, and Robb hit on a buy in the audience mid song! It was incredible, especially because the entire crowd just seemed to collectively pretend they didn't hear him say "hello there beautiful" to a dude.

Crudos were never really about sexuality, they were all about politics. Martin only came out as gay for the last year or so they were around. Limp Wrist on the other hand...

They're the main reason I might be roadtrippin' to this. Hit Me Back totally rip it up live, and Sin Orden are awesome, but I'm sure being out there all 3 days is out.

A friend of mine got me to listen to Los Crudos, he said it was "melodic hardcore" (he lied). It was like one whole long song in 45 seconds bursts with no melody at all and lyrics that couldn't be understood.
