Travis Barker on the possibility of a Blink 182 reunion

Travis Barker, drummer of Plus 44 and previously Blink 182 and The Aquabats, recently spoke to Metromix Los Angeles about whether his former band Blink 182 will reunite in the near future, saying:

I don't know. You know, to be honest with you, I haven't spoken to Tom [DeLonge] in five years. I speak to Mark [Hoppus] every day, he's one of my greatest friends, so...that's the status of that. I think everyone would have to be friends, and I think we'd all have to want to do it in order for it to happen.

Blink 182 went an "indefinite hiatus" in 2005 after releasing the self-titled Blink 182 two years prior, in 2003.

i'm 24 and after entering my first releationship and moving out of my parents basement I went from 166 to 180 pounds. i've stopped gaining weight but i am still a little skinny. how can i softenup my mid section. $1 Double Cheeseburgers from Mcdonalds seem to be working only real slow and really it's not that much. i drink a lot of beer. is my only option to drink all the booze. i do lots of eating 4 meals 5 times a week. any suggestions on how to stop this plateau i've hit and get a little more Fat/chubby?

do we really want a blink 182 reunion? i don't think there's anything they could do at this point that people would dig. they were good when everyone loved them for their easy catchy punky shit even though they were one dimensional, but i bet if they put out another record now everyone would call it shit. i don't think that as musicians they can keep up with the way music is evolving.

A new Blink record would probably be pretty good. I loved the self-titled album.

From listening to both Angels and Airwaves albums and the Plus 44 album, it's apparent that Tom and Mark check and balance one another, the end result being a concise, listenable pop song.

Angels and Airwaves songs are too bloated, and Plus 44 songs are too bland.

Does the world really need a new Blink record though? Probably not, but I'd enjoy it.
