Dirtnap pushes back the Marked Men's "Ghosts"

Due to scheduling conflicts and manufacturing issues Dirtnap Records has pushed back the Marked Men's new CD / LP Ghosts to early 2009. To tide fans over, the label will be releasing a new 7" from the band. The release will feature a song by Jeff Burke titled "Fortune" backed by an exclusive song by Mike Ryan titled "Like Robots." "Fortune" will appear on the new LP as well. The 7" will be available as soon as Dirtnap can press them.

Am I the only one who thinks it's odd that their response to manufacturing issues is to put out more stuff that has to be manufactured?

Not really. Smaller labels don't like to put out new full lengths in the month of December because they tend to get lost in the shuffle. So a manufacturing delay might push this title into that month, so they are pushing it to 2009. The 7" is only going to sell so many anyways, so they can put that out in December and it won't be that big of a deal.
