Bayside: "Shudder"

Bayside is now streaming their new full length Shudder at MySpace. The album, due September 30, follows up 2007's The Walking Wounded.

This fall the band will tour with the Matches, Valencia, and the Status. We posted the dates earlier.

This record is actually really, really good. I was never really into this band before but there's some killer pop-punk on this thing. It's way better than the new Trio record, that's for sure.

I'm not sure how people that like Trio or Smoking Popes can talk shit on Bayside, other than the fact they might be a little derivative, not as good as those bands at their best but still pretty good.

Well when Victory Records gave me an early copy to listen to, I loved it. I spread it around to all my friends and they loved it. None of them are going to buy it, and they're going to stand at music stores and stop anyone who does try to buy it. Instead, they'll hand them a burned copy. I mean, it would have sold millions if it weren't for the half a dozen of us that listened to it early. I'm so glad I have this job, I hope I never get fired.

yeah, i really enjoy it, this band is better then alot of people give them credit for, last two albums have been stellar

Yeah, but hangover shits are better than the new Trio. Bayside blows and I have no real sympathy for anyone dumb enough to sign to Victory.

It is another solid release, but doesn't come close to the Walking Wounded. Much better than their first two albums, however.

Bayside = smoking popes + sick of it all in a mosh pit with drive like jehu, sprinkle a little tom waits on the top for gd measure and a slice of black flag on the side
