Media: Frontier(s) (ex-Elliott) post four song demo

Lousiville, KY's Frontier(s) have posted a four song demo to their MySpace page. The band is the new project from Chris Hidgon, formerly of Elliott.

The new band is currently unsigned, but recorded the demo at The Funeral Home with Kevin Ratterman.

I'm a huge Benton Falls fan, and a huge fan of about half of Mineral's work. It's such s shame they both broke up after only 2 albums.

Agreed. For the past 2 days on my commute, I've been listening to a mix of them, Friction, Christie Front Drive, Very Secretary, Orwell and Sky Corvair

about 5 or so years ago i saw Elliot (live).

i had never seen these guys before live or like, a picture of them.. so i had no idea what they looked like. ANYWAY, i was struggling to find some change to make a phone call at the pay phone and (unknown to me at the time) the guitarist from Elliot gave me some change. I made my phone call and about 20 minutes later there was the guy who gave me change on stage rocking out.

to make a long story short, what a nice guy.

The sound Ratterman gets at The Funeral Home is pretty awesome. All this lush reverb without being too overbearing.

Where to begin...wow elliott...what afeckin band...so great...false cathedrals changed my views on music once again as awesome albums have =) I was lucky enough to see them on a final tour years back...great guy great show....I can not wait to get home later and listen to these...it has been to long with out chris's amazingly awesome voice...wooo...next subject....for the people who miss Mineral and were unaware though there are some crazy music savy people here at punknews.....chris simpson lead singer of mineral formed 2 bands after the breakup....lookup The Gloria Record...ep entitled A Lull In Traffic and full length Start Here both equally amazing...after that project ended he went on to form Zookeeper...again awesomly super...check them out....=)......btw first post long time reader...well most information I get comes from my gf who's a long time reader but won't sign up to comment...odd though she's ridiculously musicly opinionated...
