Underground Operations signs The Artist Life

Underground Operations has announced the signing of Southern Ontario-based pop-punk outfit, The Artist Life. The band includes ex-members of The Fullblast, Jersey, Always Outnumbered, Jude The Obscure, and At the Mercy of Inspiration. The label draws comparisons to acts like Green Day and Rancid and the group will be releasing a new EP, Let's Start a Riot on October 28th and a new full length in 2009.

The band is planning an Eastern Canadian tour with labelmates Means and Kathleen Turner Overdrive on the Unity Tour.

Tickets to AC/DC are $90 before Ticketmaster fees. This is absurd. I know it's a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll, but I didn't realize the top was a mountain of cash i don't have to buy tickets to see them live.

and for anyone who even remotely tries to knock High Voltage, Back In Black, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, or AC/DC Live, you can swing from my balls,

AC/DC is amazing but every time I think about going to see an older hard rock/metal band like them or Judas Priest tickets are way too insane to even consider buying. I've been spoiled by pass-the-hat basement shows, I guess.

Agreed. I guess I'm just offended because I paid $70 to see B.B. King with Jeff Beck two years ago. Both dudes are legends, and yet AC/DC, who haven't really been relevant since 1990, is charging $90. Considering Bret Michaels is playing bars for $25, I think AC/DC should lower the price.

they sold out a 60,000 seat venue in toronto in under 20 minutes. ever since sarstock they've been one of the best selling bands in toronto. it's crazy.
i will admit they do put on an amazing show.

that said, $90 as a base charge to see a (once-legendary, now simply just tired) rock band in an enormo-dome with about 100,000 sweaty dudes wanting to beat the living shit out of each other, not my bag.

saw these guys open up for the loved ones back in the summer. great show. and great band. they get tossed on pretty much every punk show in toronto so it was only a matter of time before they got signed.
