Anchorless Records has posted two more tracks from their upcoming tribute to the late Johnny Cash. The tribute is titled All Aboard: A Tribute To Johnny Cash and is due out October 21, 2008. It will feature The Bouncing Souls, The Dresden Dolls, Ben Nicols of Lucero, OnGuard, Chuck Ragan, Joe McMahon of Smoke or Fire and many more.
The tracks come from OnGuard (Jason Shevchuk of None More Black, Lagrecia, Kid Dynamite) and The Flatliners who cover "Give My Love to Rose" and "Cry, Cry, Cry" respectively. You can find them here. All profits from the album will be donated to the Syrentha Savio Endowment (SSE) which provides financial support to underprivileged breast cancer patients. The vinyl version of All Aboard will feature an alternate version of "Delia's Gone" by Ben Nichols of Lucero. Anchorless Records (17 comments)

I've heard all of this (and legally no less!) and it's a little disappointing, but still solid. The OnGuard track is one of my least favorites though. He sounds almost up-beat, which kinda ruins the song for me.

This is great. I really need to pick this up. I'm a big fan of Mr. Cash.

Am I the only person who thinks OnGuard is highly overrated? There's a reason he abandoned the project. 3+ Replies

I love how The Flatliners really embraced the anger in "Cry, Cry, Cry". It's such a bitter and pissed off song, and they took that and ran with it perfectly instead of taking the easy route and just making it into a faster punk song. | Features
