Tours: Far (UK)

Sacramento's Far has announced a November tour of the UK. The recently reunited group will kick things off in Newport, Wales on the 24th and wrap things up in London on the 28th. The band will also play two Californian dates in October, under their quasi-secret moniker Hot Little Pony. The band recently posted a cover of the song "Pony" by R&B singer Ginuwine on the Hot Little Pony MySpace page. .

Members of Far have been quite prolific since that band's split in 1999. They last released Water & Solutions in `98. Frontman Jonah Matranga performed with Onelinedrawing, New End Original and Gratitude while guitarist Shaun Lopez went on to form the Revolution Smile.

THIS IS AWESOME! I had no idea Far reunited! They are one my favorite '90s bands ever. Water and Solutions is possibly the most perfect rock album ever written.

Descendents formed way before the '90s, if my history hasn't gotten rusty, so I don't consider them eligeble for that position (however, they are one of my top 3 Favorite Bands In The World, Ever). I guess my favorite '90s band is Lifetime, but fuck dude, Far was absolutely amazing.

I do like "Tin cans.." But it just seems to be one of those records that seems great to hear after a while but after one listen it goes unplayed again for another year or so.

I always had a soft spot for HUM, (I guess I could say the same for Seam as well) especially "Electra 2000" and "Downward is heavenward".

Jonah must be the hardest person to be in a band with--look at all the bands he's been in since Far, and none of them have done more than one record.

The only real band after Far was Gratitude (and there was a dick or two in that band): Onelinedrawing is just him, and New End Original was a group a guys he assembled to play his Onelinedrawing songs with a band.

Waaayyy too late. If they did it during 2003 when they sort of became popular again it'd be awesome, but a uk tour and that cover song pretty much shows what this "reunion" is all about.

It's 10 years since they broke up dumbass. They wanted to let it rest and carry on with their own projects, and come back together and have some fun when it was meritted.
