Tiger Army release new song, Halloween residency

LA's Tiger Army have released a cover of "Oogie Boogie's Song" for Nightmare Revisited, an album of covers from the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas. The song is available on iTunes, and was the last track produced for the band by the late Jerry Finn.

The band will also be joined by their original drummer Adam Carson for one night only, October 26, during the band's five date Halloween rsidency at The Grove in Anaheim, CA. Titled Octoberflame 2008, the band will appear on the 23, 24, 25, 26, and 31st.

The band released Music from Regions Beyond last year.

all three albums are pretty good, just start with ORD (the nearest in style to jawbreaker, although still a long way different), and work your way forward. but seriously, the first track on ORD is their best, and one of blake's best.

They're all good albums. I would say there are classics on Orange Rhyming Dictionary and Four Cornered Night, but the most consistently good indie/pop record goes to Perfecting Loneliness. I would start with ORD though, you'll appreciate the other albums more that way.

ORD is the best. Towards the end, it sounded like indie-rock Randy Newman. The last two records would have made a grand ep. I still loved the lyrics, the music just didn't do it for me.

How come the Epitaph logo is now being used for news about Hellcat bands? When I see it I just awesome it's news about some shitty band, but then it turns out to be about Rancid or Tiger Army.

i haven't smelled the stuff yet but i have to say i swear by axe's essence scent. body wash, deodorant, and spray, the whole shebang. i've smelled like it for four years. and everytime i run into girls i've fucked around with in the past, they'll be like "omg i missed that smell" and i'm in once again. thats the axe effect baby!

I just can't take any band with that 'young-guy' voice in the vocals seriously anymore. Kna'mean? And it seems like so many bands that cropped up in the last 8-9 years have that. I think that's why I can't get in to Polar Bear Club. But you know what I mean? Thursday, Yellowcard, that kind of generic, young, bland, smooth voice? Throwing some screaming on top doesn't help.

i cant stand a wilhelm scream for that reason, and i hated polar bear club and smoke or fire at first. they both grew on me.

i dont really have a problem with the voices so much as the melodic/harmonic singing. drives me insane.

i'm probably just old.
