More Green Day studio footage

Berkeley, CA's Green Day have posted another video on YouTube of the band in the studio, working on the currently untitled follow up to 2004's American Idiot.

It was recently confirmed that Butch Vig (Nirvana, Against Me!) would be producing this album. The group also had success with their "side project" Foxboro Hot Tubs who released Stop Drop and Roll!!! earlier this year.

first of all, at best, this guy is a troll. he came out there, not to get a straight answer from obama (which he did), but to try to stump him. where is palin to complain about the 'GOTCHA' media on this one, because the media is all over this shit with their 'gotchas'. he doesnt even know what the fuck he's talking about.

no way man, i totally disagree. i like the whole side-project thing. it's a bit of fun and it allows them more freedom to get a bit more silly/far out than they can with green day. they could never dressed up in all those outfits and given themselves names like 'captain underpants' and 'the snoo' under the green day banner. it just wouldn't have been as cool. i like that they do the side project thing and create an whole other existance. it rules.

Gaslight had 4 shirts and a hoodie. The shirts... one had a 50's era Gas-Attendent, There was a sweet Bowling Pin 59' Sound design, 'last of the juke box romeos...' and something I can't remember.

when i started working at my current job, it was as a production worker. factory floor kind of work. no dress code, no drug test, pretty much show up sober and you're qualified.

when i walked in, the boss man "warned" me about the "heavy" music they like to play. i told him i'm pretty sure whatever they're listening to is not even close to what i'm used to thinking of as "brutal." turns out they would blast faith no more and all kinds of mike patton side projects.

i quickly introduced them to some combatwoundedveteran, charles bronson, palatka...and got transferred to the front office soon after. they prolly weren't, but i like to think the two were related.

right now, i sit at a desk and listen to stuff on my computer speaker. it's not even an external speaker. i have to be able to answer the phone, so i can't be blasting agoraphobic nosebleed or anything.
so i end up listening to more poppy stuff so as not to be so abrasive to my art department neighbors. the queers, OWTH, D4, etc.
my new boss likes to complain about the rumbling noise that comes out of the speaker, and i just don't know how to explain that discount is actually really poppy.

speaking of horrible music, i think we need to start some playlist challenges.

the challenge is to create a playlist that is n minutes long, and unplayable. you try to outdo each other with unlistenableness. someone ups the playlist, and the other players have to listen all the way thru. if you create a list that no one can listen to all the way through, then you win.
