Scott Weiland's become a prime candidate for the Biggest Douche in the Universe award, but not counting Rage Against the Machine and Nirvana, STP is easily my favorite `90s alt-rock band. Dudes wrote some great songs.

Why oh why do bands with so much more time under their belt continue to tour in support of bands that suck and have been around less time? Oh, I forgot, some bands sell out.

while i am not down with this tour, i will state that i am down with Meat Puppets II and Up On The Sun. the riff from "Up On The Sun" is pure as the driven snow.

I just saw Stone Temple Pilots at a festival here, they were pretty shitty. When Scott said "This is not a lounge... this is a stadium... but this is Lounge Life" all I could muster was a very eloquent "what the fuck".

On the other hand, The Flaming Lips, who played before them, were pretty rad.

i saw the meat puppets last year and they were kind of boring, mostly on account of being old. the songs were still great though.
