Social Distortion, Motorhead to headline Musink Tattoo & Music Festival

Social Distortion and Motörhead will be headlining the upcoming Musink Tattoo & Music Festival in Costa Mesa, California. The festival will be a 25-date tour, which takes place from January to March 2009. Official tour dates and many more bands are to be announced soon. .

SD frontman Mike Ness is currently planning a solo tour. Earlier this year, Ness noted that the band will return to the studio next year to rework their still-untitled new album. This will be their first studio album since 2004's Sex, Love and Rock 'n' Roll.

The wording is a bit misleading here; this is a one off festival, but there's a tour to follow, not with these bands? There's no date, either. Maybe this should have been held until there was actually more info?

They are such a great band. I was worried about Little Brother because Cuban Ballerina was so good and i didn't think an EP could possibly live up to that. but it did completely.

I heard a rumor that Motorhead used to be pro-white power, and used to play with skrewdriver a lot. Any truth to this?

na, that's bullshit man. but bear in mind that skrewdriver, when the initially started out, were not a neo-nazi band... it was only after a few years that they became these crazed 'white power' psychos. but even their early non-nazi stuff was shit anyway.

did you know that lars fredricksen and the bastards used a skrewdriver song on their 1st album? it's a version of "tomorrow belongs to me" but re-titled "campbell california"

"tomorrow belongs to me" was actually a song from a german play that Skrewdriver just covered.. but yeah, I doubt Lars was really into 1930's German plays

Are you kidding me? Their first record, the non WP record is one of the best street punk records, ever. It's so good. It's really the blueprint for street punk that came after.
