The Damned: "Shallow Diamonds"

The second of the The Damned's performances on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson is now available online. The performance is to support the band's brand new album, So, Who's Paranoid which was released digitally on October 28, 2008. The digital release will be followed by a physical release on November 17th in the UK and the 12th of December in the US.

The song, "Shallow Diamonds," is the first single from Paranoid. The record follow 2001's Grave Disorder which was released on Nitro Records.

Oh yeah, I've blacked out plenty of times. I do drink a lot of water, yeah. But theres been a lot of times that I haven't drank anything but straight alcohol. I don't know though, a lot of the time I just drink until I'm sober. Has that ever happened to you? The first time that ever happened to me was after the Taco Bell Menu Tour with the Larries.

Shame. I was hoping they'd have more songs like Dirty Leaves and White Guilt, but they don't have any. The production is also worse than the other two. Ah well. Track 3 is good, but we've all already heard it.

Anyone seen the new Charlie Brooker thing Dead Set? It was just on in it's entirety on E4. Absolutely amazing. It's about Zombies and is centred around the Big Brother house, the safest place left in the country.

I just hit up a Flobots show, because, I'll admit, I enjoy their music. Some of the songs on their album are really good, except that fucking handlebars song. But there were so many parents with like, 12 year old kids there. So weird to see that. H.R. and his band opened, and played for like 15 min. max. I was marginally pissed off...

A friend of mine, who in high school was basically the only punk kid in a very conservative suburban school, and who introduced me to a lot of punk music, went into the navy after high school, and now after all those years overseas, he came back, he listens to techno music, is obsessed with Korean culture, and is voting for McCain. Changes, man, pretty unbelievable.

I was a super liberal kid in my high school (using the US definition). In college I was relatively conservative. Now I'll only talk about individual issues on an issue by issue basis, and I don't think any group or catch all phrase could encapsulate my different opinions on every different issues. It blows my mind that millions of people can agree with each other enough to stand under the same banner: Republican/Democrat/or whichever other party. I don't even want to think about the millions of stupid reasons why.

Most people are greedy fuckers who will tailor their beliefs/decisions/aspirations to whatever puts more money in thier pocket.

As someone approaching their 30's I can't tell you the amount of "cool" people I used to know who now obsessively drone on about money and their 401K's.

The sad thing is that most people would totally flip or change everything they believe in or hold dear if the right price is involved.

I have a Fest question that would really help me to determine whether or not I will attend next year.

How much do the people going usually spend? I am an FL resident so the price of a plane ticket need not be included. Also, if I did go it would likely be with another friend and we wouldn't be loading up on people in a hotel room to save money. Nor do we drink that great Canadian invention Pabst, we are New Castle/Chimay/Hacker-Pschorr kind of guys.

Whats the round about amount of money I can expect to spend?

I made Audition part of my fucked up movie weekend trilogy once and found it to be disappointing.

Maybe thats due to the fact I watched Salo and Happiness before, but outside of the needle part, Audition was lacking in every department.
