I thought the Suicide Machines were pretty sloppy live. Guttermouth were fun, but I haven't seen them since the Friendly People tour.

Regardless how you feel about the music, Less Than Jake and Gwar put on grand live shows.

I really liked the Bats EP and self titled album, and saw them right after s/t was released. I was pretty amped to see them, and to this day it was one of the worst live shows I've been to, and I have been to hundreds, so to list better live bands would take way to long.

well technically what I meant was having a "major" producer working with them. their first demo I got was recorded in a garage as was most of the first record.

and Matt has sang on two Bullet Treatment records. How can you even consider yourself a Bronx fan and not know that. In fact the last bullet treatment record "The Mistake" is better then any of the bronx releases. check their myspace page if you dont believe me. I think its myspace.com/bullettreatment

Ummm, no. The first record was produced by Gilby Clark from GNR. This record was recorded in their studio on their own.

I believe Matt is only on one record by Bullet Treatment. The fact is, Bullet Treatment isn't a "band." It's one dude, who switches up members for different releases and recording sessions. Matt didn't sing on the most recent stuff.

You must be a big fan.

Correct. He did that full length, The Mistake, and I believe that was it. Dude from Vultures United has recorded the more recent stuff on vocals.

ok, for the record, read the frickin credits, Gilby only did a few of the tracks on the first release, mostly the crappier ones. If you stop and think about it how can a dude from Gn'R work on a punk record? C'mon should Axl produce the new Rise Against?

and to clerify Matt sang on a split 7" w/ Bullet Treatment & Shellshock (a rad band from NY), he also sang on "What More Do You Want?" cd & "The Mistake" cd. Plus there's some unreleased stuff that used to be on Napster that has been passed around. Again for us true fans.

Why couldn't a guy from GNR produce a "punk" record? Do you know what a producer does? As far as Gilby goes, he was involved with GNR's Spaghetti Incident CD, which is mostly punk covers, so he clearly has knowledge of the genre from that alone.
Michael Beinhorn who did the second record has also done records by Korn, Marilyn Manson, Soundgarden, Soul Asylum, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Hole, The Verve Pipe, Raging Slab, Ozzy Osbourne, Mew, Social Distortion,The Golden Palominos and Black Label Society.

Well I wasnt going to get all "technical" about it. I own the split w/ Matt & the What More Do You Want? cd, how you havent heard of these are beyond me. Go to Interpunk and read the reviews everyone else must know whats going on/ But judging by your expertise of Korn & Hole I now understand.

I know exactly what a producer does, they usually go and fuck up a perfectly good band. Look at Bronx II, Beinhorn did such a wonderful job they got dropped from Island. WOW! What a magic maker, even having Gilby play on the record didn't help. Stick to listening to your Soul Asylum & Raging Slab records and leave the punk bands to people are are into the real stuff, not the over-produced, water-downed, polished turd stuff.

But yeah. Maybe it's not that it's more "hardcore" but it's just... there's absolutely zero sprinkles of classic rock or whatever you want to call the sound some of the songs on II had. It's not that it's more "hardcore" I guess, but it's more... same-y. All of the songs sound the same minus a couple, and the production on the leaked copy I found is really flat. They're all 320 kbps though, so I don't think the album will sound any different... I hope it does.

White Guilt and Dirty Leaves are just blase rock songs. They're the most white bread and least rock of all of The Bronx's songs. Why do you even listen to The Bronx?

If you aren't down with History's Stranglers, Heart Attack American, Stop The Bleeding (when it hits that chorus where they overload the bass for maximum effect), or Spanish Handshake, you need to get the fuck out of dodge.

I just think they do the slower tempo songs better than the other ones, so I'd rather have more of them. I still love all the other songs, but I'm just disappointed that that's the only songs this album contains.
