The Offspring, Rise Against, and AFI playing this year's KROQ Acoustic Christmas

Long running Los Angeles-based radio station KROQ has announced the lineup for their upcoming 2008 Almost Acoustic Christmas. The event will feature a number of favorites including The Offspring, Rise Against, AFI, Slightly Stoopid, The Cure, Death Cab For Cutie, Stone Temple Pilots, Paramore, Franz Ferdinand, Snow Patrol, Vampire Weekend, Hollywood Undead and more.

The event takes place at the GIbson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, California for two nights, December 13th and 14th. The full lineup can be found on KROQ.com (

A Christmas show for the radio station here in San Diego was announced today too. Alkaline Trio, Gaslight Anthem, Cake, Slightly Stoopid. ...Pretty stoked to see Gaslight again. Alkaline Trio been to San Diego three times out of the last four months, still I don't get tired of seen them.

This sounds pretty groovy. Used to be a fan of the offspring but we'll see what happens. Some of the shit is probably going to come out shitty because punk doesn't transfer over so well onto acoustic.
