New Warped Tour documentary covers '95 through present

Lush Productions has unveiled Warped Tour Documentary, which covers the festival from 1995 through present day. This is not to be confused with the other Warped DVD due this year, Vans Warped Tour 2007 [DVD] and is due out December 2, 2008.

Featured bands include Rancid, Bad Religion, My Chemical Romance, Anti-Flag, Alkaline Trio, Billy Talent, Flogging Molly, The Casualties, Bouncing Souls, Pennywise, NOFX, Fishbone, Mike Watt, Save Ferris, Quicksand, Valient Thorr, Civ, Sick Of It All, Taking Back Sunday, Sublime, The Vandals, Dropkick Murphys, Story Of The Year, Gogol Bordello, The Transplants, Duane Peters, Sugarcult, Kool Keith, Juliette Lewis & The Licks, Good Charlotte, Angels and Airwaves, The Academy Is..., Coheed and Cambria, We The Kings, Beat Union, 3OH!3, Yellowcard, Deftones and many others.

I made it through 95 and 96 of this carnival. I found that I don't enjoy dirt parking lots or seeing bands in the sunshine.

I went every year from 00-03. Every damn time I said 'never again this is ridiculous' but somehow I couldn't keep it from happening.

I went almost every year from 95 to 2001. Might have skipped 2000.

I remember going in 95 to see Good Riddance and CIV, being amused at what was possibly Wizo's only US tour (they yoddled!), and leaving early because Sublime closed.

Is there any sort of modern equivalent to what the Warped Tour once was? Only 19, so my first (and last) year the transplants were headlining... I don't think I have to say any more.

not really. things like the Fuck Yeah Fest, Fun Fun Fun Fest, The Fest, and Riot Fest are the closest thing to it. but no, not really.

If you're looking for music quality on what it used to be, that honor goes to Riot Fest, the Fest, and Fun Fun Fest. Bamboozle is pretty much a rehash of Warped Tour itself. Me personally, you're better off seeing music indoors. It gives the performance of the band a more intimate feel.

I think the first Warped I saw was with Glassjaw, Poison The Well, Thrice and Mad Caddies. Maybe Face to Face was that year too. That was an awesome year.

Yes! He was great when I saw him (2003ish I think). He played the main stage to about 30 people. I'm sure someone much more important like Motion City Soundtrack was playing another stage.

Who the hell complains about 25 bucks for 4 bands on new years? One of the best shows ever was New Years 99 with Hot Water Music, Ann Beretta (leer still with them) and Alabama Thunder Pussy. Richmond VA

I was just using it as an example from a week or so ago. TLA, Arrivals, Copyrights, ect. were playing in Chicago on New Years and there was someone bitching about $25 dollar tickets. It seems like that happens everytime an awesome show gets posted like that.

I've never seen a New Years show. Played a couple back when I was in a band, but never been to one yet.

I made it up to 05, and despite the vast amounts of shitty bands, i still managed to have a good time.

Standing for like 8 hours, 7 dollar beers 4 dollar bottles of water, and massive sunburns make me think, "fuck it", and good riddance.

Still, though, when there were enough bands of interest, it was a fun way to spend a day. It's too bad there isn't anything close to the Fest, or even like Riot Fest near where I live.
