Joey "Shi*thead" Keithley nominated as "Most Influential Person In BC History"

The CBC is reporting that Joe Shithead Keithley, frontman of Canadian punk pioneers D.O.A. is in the running for "Most Influential Person in British Columbia History." Other B.C. heavyweights include legendary cross-country cancer fundraiser Terry Fox, explorer Simon Fraser, actor Michael J. Fox, architect Arthur Erickson, pot crusader Marc Emery and Olympic snowboarder Ross Rebagliati. Musicians on the list include Joni Mitchell, Bryan Adams, Randy Bachman, David Foster, Nelly Furtado and Michael Buble.

I interviewed Joe once and it was amazing. He's a super high energy guy and he talked to me for like two and a half hours and his enthusiasm never wavered. I hope he wins.

If I were you, I would come out of that anonymous screen name and take a look in the mirror and question your existence. Dude, don't even go there with me...I used to work at a Banana Republic. I did three holiday seasons there. There were days where I would stay at one table and just spend hours refolding the same stacks of shirts and sweaters because people would hold them up, and just dump them back on the table with no care what-so-ever of the format they just picked them up in.

Lol, it SUCKED. The best moment I remember from those times was this one time an older lady bitched at a co-worker of mine for the dumbest reason. We were told to say "Happy Holidays" to everybody so we would respect all the different holidays people celebrate during this time (Christmas, Hanuka, Kwanza, etc) and this one lady just lost it and said "It's 'Merry Christmas'" with the most serious face. I just laughed and watched my co-worker apologize to avoid further problems.

Remember when the 360 was released on like, black Friday in 2005? I worked at Wal Mart on that night it was released, in the eye of the storm (electronics department). You want to talk about insanity...well, that might have been the definition of it.

We had to hire Tempe's finest for added security, but not for the customers, for us. We had to auction off the numbers for the consoles, and then when the console was bought we had to walk the person to their vehicle. It wasn't the safest of neighborhoods, to be quite honest.

And dealing with the people who are all, "It's Christmas, so Merry Christmas" blah blah gave me the biggest headache.

Fuck retail, fuck Black Friday, Fuck being broke on Black Friday, and fuck the night terrors I still get of that day.

Off of amazon, so my expected delivery date is December 4th. But PS3 games usually go for $60 dollars, so I rather wait a week for the shipment and save $20 than get it in store. If your curious, I'll remember to give you a review after I play it a while.
