Videos: Rx Bandits video update

The Rx Bandits have posted the first in an intended series of video updates to YouTube. The band plans to document the writing, rehearsing and recording of their next full length. With studio time booked in late January or early February of 2009, the record can be expected later that year.

The band released ...And the Battle Begun in 2006.

That movie was so full of unbelievability I was expecting Indy to start fighting leprechauns atop a fiery unicorn. I hadn't seen a movie this ruined by the appearance of aliens since Signs.

Not to mention that sweet part that followed with the car riding the tree down safely and then falling off a giant waterfall where no one suffered any injuries. Sure I'm picking on this movie, but cmon, Indy was like 70 years old, that in itself spells disaster before the movie even started.

i remember alternative press called these guys "the Mars Vol-ska" when And The Battle Begun came out. I can't think of a less apt description. besides maybe "Lil Wayne-core".

so i just realized how bullshit Independence Day was. I'll allow Jeff Goldblum a shot at flying into the ship, but you mean to tell me that a virus from 1995 or whatever took down the alien motherboard?

do the aliens run on cd-rom? do they not have a firewall? do they not have anti-virus software lightyears beyond our capability? and you mean to tell me they run on ms-dos?

they have lasers, force-fields, and intergalactic transport capabilities, but they don't have goddamn ANTI-VIRUS?

this is up there with my two ultimate "suspension of belief" moments:

1) Signs. The aliens Achilles' heel is water. And yet they made it through THE ATMOSPHERE. Fuck you, Shyamalan. You have yet to make a movie I can watch more than 20 minutes of before changing the channel.

2) Twister. Paxton and Hunt survive an F5 torn
