Legendary irish punks The Pogues have announced December dates in England Scotland and Ireland as well as handful of American shows in March of 2009.

I did one a couple of years ago. I did it on why people should stop drinking soda. There is a shitload of information on the bad effects of it out there and you should have no problem gathering enough information for a speech a couple minutes long. The day my topic was due I still didn't have one and was drinking a coke at the time, so I said fuck it and chose to do it on that. I made a choice not to drink soda on campus for the rest of the semester so I wouldn't look like a hyprocrite.

I received their new box set recently (5 CDs, more than 100 songs). It's really good, even if it contains a lot of stuff harder to listen to. But the songs are b-sides, demos, live tracks, etc., so what do you expect? Some songs on there are rare gems though. It's worth the price 100% if you are a fan. Should I submit a review on this site? Anyway, I think it's only available in the UK right now, so Amazon UK is your friend.
