Vinyl Collective launches free Second Nature sampler

Second Nature has launched a new sampler through Vinyl Collective. The compilation features 24 songs from across the labels catalogue including music by Able Baker Fox, Waxwing, In The Pines, Old Canes, Jaguar Love, The Casket Lottery, Anasarca, Ad Astra Per Aspera, Grade, Ox, Vedera, The Blood Brothers, Rocky Votolato, Elevator Division, The Belles, Kill Creek, Reggie and The Full Effect, Ilya, These Arms Are Snakes, Isis, Kid Kilowatt, Blusom, Sharks Keep Moving and The Higher Burning Fire.

Anasarca is REALLY good. Heavy emocore from the mid 90s. They had like 7 or 8 songs recorded. Get their discography.

The first Grade album, the one on Second Nature, sucks. Grade was just not a very good band. Major player in the mainstreaming of emo.

Yabut we all knew Brett and friends would put out an amazing record. Tigers Jaw was a surprise is all, I'm excited. It's definitely the album of '08 with most consecutive plays, and the one with most plays in one week (for me). I would never actually be able to decide. 2008 had better stuff than 2005-2007 combined.

Tigers Jaw isn't a record that will blow you away with gusts of originality, but for a debut, it's a more accomplished and enjoyable record than many of their contemporaries could ever hope to muster.

Vulgar Display of Power is better, although Cemetery Gates is always my favorite song of theirs. I still like most of Pantera's music, but you are right about the fans, they're just another band on the long list of "Band's I like that have fans I absolutely hate."
