Dir En Grey announces “A Knot Of” DVD

Japan's Dir en Greyhave announced plans to release their first DVD. The DVD is titled A Knot Of and is due out February 3, 2008.

The set will cover three years worth of shows, covering shows around the world taking place in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and slots opening for The Family Values tour, Deftones and more.

I can't stand this band and I don't know anything about them. Whenever I look up Gauze on ebay, this fucking band comes up because they have an album called Gauze. As a result I have to search Gauze -dir -en -grey... what a pain in the ass. my life is so difficult. fuck this band.

How often do you need to look up gauze, are you a mummy wannabe or what? But, really Dir En Grey is awesome live. It's fun when all the teenage girls scream when Kyo cuts himself but he didn't do it last time I saw them either.

I haven't listened to anything past Withering To Death, but that album slayed. Still kind of shocked to see this covered on punknews, but okay. I might pick this up because their last dvd was good.

The music sucks, but just the spectacle of these dudes is great. Blood, lightning quick japanese ramblings, complete devotion to the music and the insanity.

We in America don't understand it. We see them playing "bro" music and associate it with the American date rape scene. These dudes just know it as rock from overseas and go apeshit with it and believe in it. It's punk rock to them.

The music still sucks though...
