No, but my Dad sold life insurance to the military. We lived in a little town called Auringen (about 20 minutes outside of Wiesbaden). I used to speak German fluently, but we moved back to the States when I was ten, so I forgot most of it (although I can still understand it pretty well). Where you from?

all over. my dad worked for the red cross, so same kind of military affiliation as you.

we lived in mannheim when i was in college, and near stuttgart when i was in kindergarten.

used to go to wiesbaden all the time.

No I don't live in Boulder, I guess it did kinda sound that way... I'm actually in Austin TX. I'll be seeing Off With Their Heads on Jan 8th. Can't wait!

But my folks are still in Colorado Springs and I usually make it out there a couple times a year. I haven't been up to Boulder in a while.
I'll save your email and definitely hit you up when I'm back out there.

not really. since you can get pot in any coffeeshop in the city, it's not really that big a deal, except for tourists.

i did get tricked into seeing phish in amsterdam. now THAT was freakin smokefest. boringest shot EVAR.

i left early, then sold my 2nd night ticket to some hippy and hung out in the red light district instead.

good times.

i had no idea. every one i knew was like "oh, you'd totally love phish." i had never heard of them.
about 2 seconds after getting in line at the venue, i knew i needed some new friends.

i believe i got some great records that night, at the one punk record store in amsterdam. my screeching weasel ramones bootleg is from there.

So i read the singer from Gaslight Anthem is only 5'3". Can anyone confirm or deny this? I also read that he is bisexual. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Lastly, I heard his parents died in the Jonestown Massace. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Taller than 5'3", I don't troll on dudes, I doubt about the Jonestown deal because I'm pretty sure it happened before he was born (Think he was born around 1980)

I usually refrain from making this kind of comment, but it's probably best for Helmet to hang it up. I didn't mind their last album, but i saw them play the warped tour a couple years ago, the most underwhelming performance, Page looked bored out of his mind.

I saw helmet on the Size Matters tour and I thought they sounded great, having not seen them since 97.... I think it would be awesome if he was able to get Bogdan and Stanier back with him. Can't say I was a fan of Size matters or Monochrome, but the effort was there, and I will try and se them if they come back.. WIsh I could see them in Europe... Page speaks really good German too.
