So I found out that Kevin Wickersham will be playing in place of Spike Slawson on the 1/8 show in San Fransisco. Who's going to that one?

Toldeo? But no Cleveland!?
MagneticBedhead (January 5, 2009)
Notice there is no NYC date...probably because the Knitting Factory closed. I think that was the last small club hosting punk and hardcore shows. RIP.

I love the Street Dogs but State of Grace sucked big time. I really can't even listen to it. Consistantly great live bands, yadayadayada.
HooverStreet (January 5, 2009)
Everyone is now going to see how much Mike McColgan copies Johnny Peebucks on stage. Not sure if that's a good idea.

Moving from Boston to Portland pays off....well not really, after 6 months this may be the only example.

Having seen the Utters just last year on tour with Naked Raygun, and seeing The Street Dogs with the Briggs on tour last year, I can assure that both performances will be dynamite!! Don't hate apprecaite the fact that two great bands are playing together + one good band to boot. Should be a big party.
Chitown_82 (January 5, 2009)
Both the Dogs and Utters are great live. Throw Shot Baker in the mix and this bill is solid from top to bottom. Glad to see that this tour has a band from the west coast, east coast and midwest. |

The Thorns of Life have have kicked out drummer Aaron Cometbus. Band leader Blake Schwarzenbach explained the move:
Our good "friend" Aaron has decided to shack up with my (Blake) ex-girlfriend immediately after she broke my heart and left me. The two hid it from me for weeks over christmas and only until yesterday when I had to find out was I informed. Great guy! Stand up guy! Well to put it bluntly he's out of the band for good and hopefully lives a terrible life forever. I don't know what's going to happen yet but I'll be sure to keep everyone informed.
P.S. If there's a moral to this story, then I wish you'd show me.
P.P.S. I like sentences that end in the word "informed."
The band is still planning to hit the road at the end of January with Gaslight Anthem and Tom Gabel.
