Drummer Pat Pengelly has left Canadian reggae/rock outfit Bedouin Soundclash. His former bandmates made a statement on their website:
It's been a really amazing few years for the band and so it comes with a heavy heart to announce that drummer Pat Pengelly will be moving on to new endeavours in the New Year. Pat extends his best wishes to Jay and Eon as they continue on in Bedouin. All three are grateful for each other's friendship and contribution to the band, and will continue to support each other moving forward.

woah, didnt see this coming. i love the band, all the members offer an unique style which compliments the others, and it will be sad to have pat leave. here's hoping whoever they get to fill-in can convince them to start playing songs from root fire!

They are supposed to be touring Australia soon, I hope this doesn't affect that.

Wow this is actually the first time I'm sad to hear a drummer leaving. This dude really helped make the band. Here is hoping that this does not affect their direction in sound too much because with Pat they are one of the greatest bands on the planet.

I like this band, but drummers, even really talented ones are a dime a dozen
