Selections from Andrew Jackson Jihad and Cobra Skulls's Under the Influence 7-inch series are now streaming. The former covered Neutral Milk Hotel's "Two Headed Boy]] while the former tackled Bob Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues."

Not a huge Bob Dylan fan at all... but MORE THAN STOKED to hear the Two Headed Boy cover.

Doesn't VC have the Two Headed Boy version up? It's a hard song to cover, I think, but after hearing it I realized these guys were PERFECT in covering it.

I also discovered PJ & Gaby. Male/Female Folk duo from the UK. Met them at the Fest and have been loving their cd ever since.

I'm not actually a big Neutral Milk Hotel fan, just never got into them. But you can tell AJJ are, because that song sounds like it could be an AJJ song. I've always heard they were big into the band, guess it makes sense now.

Also, I wasn't expecting much from the Cobra Skulls side, honestly, but they killed it. Their cover is so fucking fun.

Yeah, me too!

When they told me they were doing a Dylan song I said to them, "Oh that's great guys!" But I was really thinking, "What a buncha dumb assholes..." Then I hear it, and it came out great. Bullshitting aside, it's funny how that Dylan song can be turned into such a good punk song. I still don't care for much of his stuff though.

AJJs cover sounds exactly like I thought it would. Not bad, but predictable.

However, for not really being a Cobra Skulls fan, I really like their Dylan cover.

Anyone else have trouble with Vinyl Collective website? I use Firefox in Windows and a firefox derivative in Linux, but the same problem everytime, when I try and checkout nothing happens, I have to load up internet explorer. It sucks.
