Forever the Sickest Kids have recorded a cover of Taylor Swift's "Love Story." The band released Underdog Alma Mater last year.

I said all that stuff in the Tom Gabel post about how as long as covers are done for the right reason, they shouldn't be criticized. This clearly does not fall into that category. Awful.

My wife likes this song (the Taylor Swift version, not this one). That's what I'm dealing with. Anyway, I love to sing along but change the words to some of the horrible songs she likes. She's not too fond of my version of this one.....

I just got my copy of Goddamnit "Redux", and it sounds fucking awesome. Been listening to it at work all day, and I can't believe I forgot how hard this record just kills everything. Fucking god.

I was wandering through the closeout CDs at Circuit City yesterday and there was some Victory Records band and the sticker on the front (of course there was a sticker covering half the album cover--thanks, marketing research!) screaming "Featuring Kelly Clarkson's SINCE U BEEN GONE!"

Y'know, punk bands covering pop songs used to be off-handed jokes to fill out the album. Now, "punk" bands are starting to look a whole lot like British pop groups.
