I bought Under The Influence when it came out. I barely listened to it then and I never listen to it now. I should pull that one out of storage and see if my opinion of it has changed.

I first saw these guys open for Bouncing Souls in '95.
ChadReligion (February 23, 2009)

badbrain (February 23, 2009)

Does anyone have a copy of the "This is Berkley, Not West Bay" 7" that they would like to sell me?
deadXlast (February 23, 2009)
Fucking awesome. I have an immortal boner for old Fat Wreck shit, so I'm pumped as hell.

R3vengeTherapy (February 23, 2009)
This feels entirely random and totally out of left field. I used to adore this band for some reason. I still really like Under the Influence of Bad People. I'd see 'em if they came around, but this looks like a one time deal on the west coast. Those of you who go, have fun.
clamXtears (February 23, 2009)
Weird. I was actually listening to 'Under the Influence' last night as I was reading the article about Last FM. I was thinking "what a slow news weekend it's been". It was totally random that I picked that cd to listen to becuase I hadn't heard it in over a year prior to that.
Cos (February 23, 2009)
Yawn. American Steel picked up where this band left off and they do it much, much better.
truthseeker32 (February 23, 2009)
If the Screw 32 re-union is a go, then it is news to the rest of the members of the band. Unless Andrew has just gotten all new people to play with him under the band name, which I don't think would be the case. Sure a re-union is possible, but nobody else from the original band is working on one at this time.
MikeMoak (February 23, 2009)
anyone ever buy that HOPELIFTER record with andrew champion singing??? it's pretty rad.
HB_Dad (February 24, 2009)
GREAT NEWS!!! I was at the record release show for their last CD in SF at the Trocadero! It was still one of the best shows I've ever been to!!
Evil_Dead (February 24, 2009)
Holy shit! I still haven't picked up their Fat LP, but I have their Wingnut one, Unresolved Childhood Issues and I love it. Stoked!
mickd22 (February 24, 2009)
sweet jesus, this band was so good. some of the best melodies/pop punk fat had. come north, please!
Champion (March 26, 2009)
Hello, Andrew Champion here, no, there won't ever be a Screw 32 reunion, I am not sure where the person who posted the false information previously got their information from, or the person who suggested that I might do a reunion with anyone other than the original members but they are sorely mistaken and misinformed. |
