We had an amazing response to our last request for testers, but now we're ready to show everyone where we're at with the new site. As you may know, Punknews.org is launching a brand new site soon. We've listened to a lot of suggestions and made a lot of changes to make the site easier to use and make it quicker to get to the information you're looking for.
However, since a lot of stuff changed, we're hoping to enlist some of you to help us out by trying out the new site before we switch it over. We are making it open to anyone who is interested now, no password required.
Some of the new features:
- Support for Facebook Connect
- Redesigned comment engine with editable comments
- New features slideshow and popular stories box (at the bottom)
- Redesigned reviews
- More visual features like bigger pictures
- More searching options
- A way, way faster site
- Lots and lots of little things
If you've got a Punknews.org login, you can register for the beta and get exclusive access to the new site. It will have the same new, reviews and features as the current site so you can use it just the way you use Punknews.org now.
All we ask is that you let us know if you run into problems so we can fix them and make sure the final version is ready for everyone. There is a "Report Bug" button right on every page that should make that easy.
