Reset reforming with Simple Plan members for one show

Reset, a Montreal-area punk band which saw two members go on to form Simple Plan, will be reforming for a one-off show celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Quebec's Musiqueplus Television Station. While Reset continued with a new lineup, the show will include the No Worries-era linup, with Pierre, Chuck, Phil and J-S.

The other band set to perform the party are Subb, The Sainte Catherines, Vulgaires Machins, Grimskunk and The Planet Smashers. You can find more details here.

It's April 2nd at the Metropolis in Montreal, and the ticket is sold for 10$. Oh and BTW its not for the 10th anniversary of "Musique-Plus" the television station as a whole cuz its much older than than, 25ish yo, it is the 10th anniversary of it's weekly punk show.

because the cops were staking out this party i was at and pulling everyone over who left. they got me for "not making a complete stop at a stop sign"...and immediately pulled me out of the car, made me take all the sobriety tests in 32 degree weather, with no jacket. then forced me to take a breathelizer and sat me in jail for 35 hours, and took my license away for 6 months.

cause i had one fucking beer and one fucking shot of seagrims.

I'm really surprised at all the hate for Reset in here. I think Simple Plan is just as painful as anyone else but Reset is actually pretty good. I mean its nothing groundbreaking as far as skate punk goes but I know there are a lot of Slick Shoes fans in here. It's basically 90's fat wreck skate punk with pop punk vocals. I was pretty sure these boards were supportive of that kinda thing.

If you havent heard Reset I suggest you give them a shot. Don't let the Simple Plan members turn you off.

one thing i understood long ago reading post in here is that eventho there shouldnt be rules or Strict guide lines for being punk, it often seems like everybody that try not to conform should be listenning to all the same f**kin band, a lucky few who makes the cut, who are "mainstream" enough to get to every punk.

Im not there to defend simple plan cuz i hate them as much as anybody, but i do like some skate punk tho. People, its men and women as close minded as you all are that tells us punk isnt music, that metal isn't music, its people like you that try to get us to believe that U2 is The Band, that mickeal jackson was a king....etc

Oh yeah. That's a good show. I remember the beginnings, when they thought it would be a good idea to put a skateboard on the face of the VJ, trying to make it look like it was his real head. Because they thought that everyone who listens to punk skates I guess, or just because they're dumb, whatever.
