Legendary proto-punks New York Dolls have announced the release of their next full length. The record is titled Cause I Sez So and is due out May 5, 2009. It is the follow up to 2006's One Day It Will Please Us to Remember Even This.
The album features 11 new songs and a new version of "Trash", which was on the band's 1973 debut album. "It was amazing working with Todd again, and I think we were able to evoke the special sound of our first album and drag it by the hair into the present," says frontman David Johansen. Prior to the album's release, the band will appear at South By Southwest. Roadrunner Records (23 comments)

I hope with the release being on Road Runner that these dudes take a brand new direction and sound more like Obituary, only with high heels and skirts. 1+ Reply
