Deathwish launches free sampler

Deathwish has launched a new, free sampler featuring a wealth of material from releases on the label. The MMIX includes 19 songs, of which 15 are previously unreleased and two behind the scene videos. Songs come from across the label's roster: The Hope Conspiracy, Narrows, Lewd Acts, Coliseum, Victims, Reign Supreme, Trap Them, Nails, Rot In Hell, Mother Of Mercy, Carpathian, 108, Resurrection, End of a Year, Doomriders, Pulling Teeth, Integrity, Supermachiner, J Bannon and Rise And Fall.

I actually want to know why everyone is popping boners over Watchmen and I almost bought the novel the other day but I feel like I can't talk to anyone about it now without getting the "WTF you faggot only getting into it because of the movie!" knee-jerk response.

So I'm gonna wait til all the shit is out of Hot Topic and then I'll check into it.

Saw it last night at midnight. Definitely not perfect, but I still thought it was great. The novel is heaps and loads and tons better, but considering how fucking hard it must have been to condense it into a two and a half hour movie, I thought Snyder did an excellent job. Rorschach was spot on, one of the best performances I've ever seen, The Comedian was almost just as good. Only problems I had were Silk Spectre's flubbed lines (that they could have re-shot), Veidt's trouble keeping his accent down, and no "squid" or glass pyramid. Other than that, pretty much no complaints. I'll see it again when I buy some weed. I'd give it an A-.

really thought that Rorschach was awesome, agreed about the comedian too.

but all in all, i didnt think it was a good movie. I think Alan Moore was right when he said it could be a movie. there is no one central caharacter and to make it a movie they just force Nite Owl to be that character. not to mention that there are some ridiculously bad scenes, and the music selection was laughable.

although i did see it on imax therefore making for some of the biggest boobs ive ever seen.

I don't think Nite Owl was forced to be that character, I think Rorschach and Nite Owl essentially are the main characters to some extent, even in the novel. The bad scenes were Silk Spectre's fault (I still don't understand why they didn't reshoot them), though I can't wait to see it on IMAX, to see... well, what you said. I do strongly disagree about the music, I thought the selection was great, especially Hendrix. But hey, to each his own. Alan Moore was partially right, with one exception. It couldn't have been made into a PERFECT movie. Unless of course it was six hours long...
