The Chicago event promoter ordinance is back before that city's License and Consumer Protection Committee. The current version of the legislation would still require promoters to obtain $300,000 in liability insurance on top of paying fees ranging from $500 to $2,000. Promoters are worried that could make
DIY shows all but impossible.
Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh have reunited
Sublime on a Nevada stage a new a singer
by the name of Rome.
Montreal punk band
Reset has also
reformed with their
No Worries era line up. Two members of the band now play in popular act
Simple Plan.
The
Runaways movie is progressing, with news this week that actresses
Dakota Fanning and Kristin Stewart will appear in the movie.
NOFX have unveiled the
12 song track listing for their upcoming alubm
Coaster.
American Steel have announced their
new record, due in June. The band is asking fans to submit pictures of their
American Steel tattoos for use in the album artwork.
Broadway Calls will record with producer
Bill Stevenson at the Blasting Room later this year.
This week saw new audio from
MxPx covering the
Descendents
"Suburban Home." We had full album streams of
Propagandhi's
Supporting Caste,
New Found Glory's Epitaph debut
Listen To Your Friends, and the
Punk Goes Pop 2 compilation featuring
Silverstein,
A Static Lullaby, and

This week also saw streams of tracks from
Frank Turner and

To our bemusement and ultimate horror, the
anime-goes-punk compilation was also previewed.
Social Distortion will head to
Europe this year for festivals in Switzerland, Italy and Sweden.
The
Bouncing Souls also graced us with a video this week, showcasing their new track
"Airport Security."
